General Info

We are excited to welcome you to our Taft Middle School in Winfield, Indiana. Our facilities are amazing and we hope you will enjoy competing here!

This is an Official Indiana VEX IQ State Qualifying Event.

This event is in the Central Time Zone.

Any team not paid by December 13th will be transferred to the waitlist and that space will be offered to a team on the wait list.

All payments for entry fees MUST be in advance. Payments not accepted at the door.

Concessions WILL be available at the event. We will be doing a group pizza order with more details to come in the email you will receive following your registration.

Please make sure all participant and coaches have filled out the online participants release form. The REC Foundation now requires all Event Partners to check to make sure all teams have submitted the required online form.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

All attempts will be made to address any concerns about inclement weather the night before the event via an email to primary coaches. We look forward to this event all year but prioritize safety and will closely watch the weather report, reserving the right to delay the start or dismiss early should a weather event arise. If the event must be cancelled due to weather all teams will be refunded the tournament cost minus the $5 Robot Events processing fee.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

Registration fees minus the processing fee will be refunded.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: the Event Partner must be notified before December 19, 2025 for a refund (minus processing fees) to be issued. If the Coach/Mentor chooses to withdraw or not attend AFTER December 19, 2025 registration fees will be non-refundable.

Payment Deadline is December 13th, 2025. Not paying by this date may mean that your team may be placed on the waitlist to make room for another team.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Engineering Notebooks MUST be submitted by Friday, December 19, 2025 at 5pm CST..
