Welcome to Bixby's Battle of the Bots

We are thrilled to welcome you to Bixby for Oklahoma's largest VEX IQ competition! This event promises to be a fun, challenging, and memorable event for all participants. Our goal is to unite top VEX IQ Robotics teams from across the region for an exciting, high-level competition that inspires innovation and prepares students for success in the 21st century.

Volunteer

Be a part of the excitement by joining the team of volunteers who will help in a variety of ways to make this event a success for the students involved!  You can register for an entire day, or just a portion of the day as your schedule permits for most positions. Lunch is included for all full-day volunteers.

  • Judge - All Day:  Must be at least 16 years or older. Prior experience preferred but not required. You must not be affiliated with any team at the event. We will train you on the day of the tournament.
     
  • Certified Ref - All Day:  Must be 16 years or older. A certification test is required prior to the event. Help watch the matches and enforce the rules. Prior experience preferred but not required.
     
  • Scorekeeper (AM or PM):  Must be at least 15 years old or older. No prior experience or training required. Assist in scoring the game using a tablet, working in conjunction with the referees.
     
  • Queuing (AM or PM):  Must be at least 15 years or older. No prior experience or training required. Help call and organize teams when it is their turn to compete at the fields.
     
  • Concession (AM or PM):  Must be at least 18 years old or older. Help run the concession stand and/or shirt sales.
     
  • Registration - AM:  Must be at least 18 years or older. Assist with checking teams and volunteers into the event in the morning.
     
  • Facilities - All Day:  Help monitor facilities, bathroom cleanliness, trash levels, and be "on call" for assisting in spills.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Teams will be notified 24 hours prior to the event if there is a weather concern for the event.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

- Teams will be given registration credit towards the 2026 FrostByte Frenzy, or any other event hosted by Bixby Public Schools. 

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

- No refunds are available should a team cancel or withdrawl. 

 

Please be advised that you must complete payment before the registration deadline.  Teams that miss the payment deadline will be moved to the waitlist.  If any teams are invited off the waitlist they will be notified, at the earliest, Janurary 23rd. 

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Notebooks must be submitted by 5:00 PM on ​Friday, January 23rd, 2026.
