General Info

The Oyster River Middle School VEXIQ Tournament is Saturday, December 13th from 7:30am – 4pm. Doors open at 7:30 am.

Location: The Oyster River Middle School is located at 1 Coe Drive, Durham, NH 03824. There should be plenty of parking at the school.

Food:

· We will have a basic concession stand with snacks and drinks. Concessions will be on the 2nd floor.

· NOTE!: Pizza orders are due by Monday, December 8th. All pizzas are 14 inch and are $15 for cheese or pepperoni.

· Payment for pizza is due the morning of the competition. Please pay at the concession stand on the 2nd floor.

Engineering Notebooks:

· Engineering notebooks will be collected at the Team Check-In table. If you have a digital notebook, please print it out and bring it with you to the event. Only hard copies will be accepted.

· Robot Inspection Checklist: Teams should review this checklist prior to the event to ensure their robot will pass inspection.

General Information:

· For qualification matches, each team will compete in 6-7 matches.

· For skills, each team can perform up to 3 Driving Skill and 3 Programming Skill matches.

Agenda

7:30 am: Doors open. Teams should check in as early as possible then proceed to the inspection table. This will help ensure a timely check-in and robot inspection process.

· 7:30-8:30 am: Team Check-In and Robot Inspections

· 8:30 am: Deadline for checking in. Teams that have NOT checked in by this time will NOT be placed in the match schedule.

· 8:30-9:00 am: Opening Ceremonies.

· 9:00 am-12:00 pm: Qualification Team Matches. Skills Challenge Open.

· 12:00-12:30 pm: Lunch.

· 12:30-3:00 pm: Qualification Team Matches. Skills Challenge Open.

· 3:00-4:00 pm: Final Matches and Awards.

If your program brings a competition table you will recieve a free team registration. Please contact Jason Duff at [email protected] if you are interested in supporting the event. We will be in need of at least three table sets.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of inclement weather, team contacts will be notified if the event is cancelled or postponed. A "rain" date of December 14th has been set at this time.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: All team registration fees will be refunded.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Oyster River will reimburse the program if withdrawl is done before December 5th .

All refunds will be less the $5.00 administrative fee retained by RECF.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
