General Info
Battle for Placer Gold Invitational is an invite-only event , with priority consideration given to Placer area/Greater Sacramento teams. Contact us at [email protected] or place your team on the waitlist to be considered.
We do accept other teams after priority teams have completed their registrations on a case by case basis- typically to school based or independent teams that have not yet qualified for the region championships. Please add your team to the waitlist and contact us at [email protected] for consideration.
All events will receive Northern California championship award bids based on the REC Foundation Qualifying Criteria. The awards slots will be allocated by RECF later in the season.
Please make sure to review the refund policies and payment deadlines - any team not paid in full by payment deadline will be moved to the waitlist.

Refund and Payment Policies
Event payments are expected when you register for this event and must be completed (showing PAID in the system) by the payment deadline.
No refunds will be provided for withdrawals or no shows.
If the event partner cancels the event then all payments will be refunded (minus any charges from robotevents.com)

Judging Format
- Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The submission deadline is February 4, 2026, 7pm
