General Info
This league is primarily for teams from Butte County, California. League Sessions will be meeting at the Chico Boys & Girls Club (QS1), Chico Jr High School (QS 2 & 3) and Marsh Jr. High School (Final Session).
For QUAIFICATION SESSIONS Doors will open at 4:00 PM and each session begins with Team Check-in and Robot Inspection. Please WAIT until this time so we can complete setup of the event. Teams need to check in by 4:10 PM and robots need to pass inspection by 4:25 PM to be included in the Teamwork Challenge match schedule. The goal is to start the Sessions at 4:30 PM. At Team Check-in for the first session, teams MUST turn in release forms and checks. Paper forms to the admin table if necissary. Opportunity for volunteers to sign up will be made available prior to the event.
At the the three Qualification Sessions, each team will be given the opportunity to compete in four Teamwork Challenge Qualifying Matches. Each team will be allowed to participate in two Driving Skills Challenge Matches and up to two Programming Skills Challenge Matches per session. The Skills Challenge must be completed as a pair (remote control & programmed runs).
The fourth session is the FINALS SESSION. At Check-in, teams MUST turn in their Engineering Notebooks. Teams that turned in appropriate Engineering Notebooks will participate in Robot Design Judging. Each team willl be allowed to complete one Skills Challenge Match during this session prior to the Final Matches. To be eligible for the TEAMWORK FINALS a team must have competed in at least THREE Qualification Sessions (the morning of the Finals Session counts as one of these). This means that a team can miss one of the Thursday Qualification Session and still participate in the Teamwork Finals. The Finals Session will conclude with Teamwork Finals Matches and Awards.
We greatly encourage teams to provide at least one volunteer for at least one session. Extra volunteers make it easier for us to move teams through the matches in a timely fashion. See the Volunteer tab for details.
We will have two Teamwork Challenge fields, one Skills Challenge field and at least one practice fields at each session..
As a League for a specific region, this event has been set up a as an INVITE ONLY. Please contact Jon Andrew and provide your team number to be registered for the event.
