Wallace State is excited to host the 2025 Cullman County VEX IQ Invitational Robotics tournament. We will release more information here as it becomes available.

Grade Level:  Middle School

Skills Challenge Offered: Yes

Judging Format: In-Person Interviews with remote digital notebook judging. Deadline to submit your team's digital notebook is noon, Central Time, Monday, January 26, 2026. Submissions with a date/time stamp after this deadline will not be reviewed for judged awards, no exceptions. Physical notebooks will not be accepted on the day of the contest, no exceptions.

Volunteer

Volunteers are vital to making events successful. We greatly appreciate anyone who is able to attend the event to help it run smoothly. There will be more information posted as the event nears. In the meantime, any volunteer queries can be sent to Terry Ayers at [email protected].

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations please visit the event on robotevents.com where we will post updates about the event status as needed. Final determination on whether the event will be cancelled will be made noon on the day prior to the event.Email notification will be made to all coaches and assistant coaches using the email addresses posted on robotevents.com for each team. Please check your email routinely the day or two prior to the event to ensure you are notified of any last minute changes.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner (EP) cancels the event: 

Due to how REC Foundation payments are sent to Wallace State, we are unable to offer refunds to teams that have completed payment. In the event the EP Needs to cancel this event after payment has been made, fees paid can be applied to a future Wallace State event.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

We are unable to offer refunds for this event. Because of this, teams should wait to make payment until they are certain they can and want to attend while being mindful of the payment due date. Any team unpaid by payment due date will be removed from the registered team list without notification.

If a team has to withdraw from competition after payment is made, the Event Partner can consider transferring the registration fee to another, future Wallace State hosted event.

 

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.

The deadline to digitally submit the engineering notebook with be noon, Central Time, January 26, 2026.

Submissions with a date/time stamp after this deadline will not be reviewed for judged awards, no exceptions. Physical engineering notebooks will not be accepted the day of the event.
