General Info
First and foremost, all of us at TechPoint Youth (TPY) want to commend you for your commitment to bringing robotics to students in the 2025-26 school year. We know it isn’t always easy, but you continue to work hard to bring engaging opportunities to students, and for that, we thank you.
Since the launch of the State Robotics Initiative, Indiana has become a leader in competitive youth robotics - we currently boast more VEX IQ robot teams than any other state in the country! This is, in large part, thanks to wonderful Robot Educators like yourselves who have stepped up to coach and support a robotics team. With your help, our goal is to continue to demonstrate to students, parents, school administrators, and the larger community that competitive robotics can, and should, be elevated to the same level of prominence as sporting events. With this in mind, we are happy to confirm that the 2026 Indiana Robotics State Championship will again be held at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, March 14, 2026!
As the Event Partner, we are committed to hosting an exceptional event that will reward Indiana students who have worked diligently to earn a chance to compete at the state championship level. We hope you and your students are as excited as we are for the impact this event will have on Robotics in Indiana. Judging Format
All Engineering Notebooks will be required to be submitted digitally in advance. Engineering notebooks will not be accepted the day of. A digital Engineering Notebook must be submitted to qualify for the Excellence Award, Design Award, and Innovate Award. Submission of a PDF of your notebook will be due by Thursday, March 5th at 12:00PM EST if you want it considered for judging. When you are ready to upload your Engineering Notebook, you may do so at the Engineering Notebook link on Robot Events.
*There are several options for converting paper notebooks to digital. We suggest using the “image to pdf” converter app or some walk-up copiers also have scan to PDF capabilities.
Note, a digital notebook is not required to get an interview. Every team will receive at least one live interview with judges the day of the competition.
Judge Stations - There will be several judge stations for teams to visit for their interview as it best fits within their schedule. Judges will not be coming into the pits to conduct interviews. It will be the responsibility of each team to come to a judging station when they are ready for an interview. Each team will receive at least one interview.
