General Info
Welcome to the Magikid VEX IQ Tournament
Teams should be prepared to test their skills, showcase creativity and engineering thinking, and compete in the sport of robotics.
Participant Release Forms
All teams will be checked prior to the event to confirm that participant release forms have been completed.
The official RECF Participant Release Form can be found in the Documents tab or under My Account on RobotEvents.
Robot Inspection
To help ensure a smooth and efficient start to the event, teams and coaches are asked to review the inspection checklist and pre-check their robots before arrival.

Engineering Notebooks
Please ensure all Digital Engineering Notebooks are submitted on RobotEvents by Friday, January 30, 2026.
Event Format
This is a small-scale event designed to be efficient and enjoyable.

Practice Fields: 2 fields
Skills and Teamwork matches will run in parallel and will both conclude at 3:00 PM. Teams are encouraged to manage their time carefully.
Judge Interviews are optional. Two interview rooms will be available, and teams may visit either room to meet with judges.
Due to limited space at the venue, we strongly encourage parents to consider whether they plan to remain on-site for the duration of the event.
Lunch Break
A lunch break is scheduled from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM. Additional details will be shared closer to the event date.
Please note that if the event falls behind schedule, matches may continue without a formal lunch break.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
The event may be rescheduled by any unpredicted emergency or bad weather. We will keep contacting with all registered teams by email for all details.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Refunds will only be made if the event is canceled. Refunds will not include the $5 processing fee assessed by RobotEvents for processing.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event, then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
There will not be refunds for the event, regardless of circumstances. It is expected that teams utilize the RobotEvents system to handle event payments before attending the event.
Payment Deadline:
Payment is to be submitted by January 10th, 2026. Any team that is added after the payment deadline will have one week to submit payment.

Health and Safety Policies
For everyone's healty and safety, any student or adult who has symptoms of fever, couphing, sneezing are not allowed to enter the competition building. We will prepare some masks for students and parents.

The event will be held in the Orange Building at the Woodinville Montessori School – Bothell Campus. The Orange Building is located at address 19310 and is marked by an orange-colored ring on the exterior wall.
The main entrance is located between the Blue Building and the Orange Building. Free parking is available around the building.
Driving Directions:
- Take I-405, then exit at Exit 24
- Merge onto NE 195th Street
- At the first traffic light, turn right, then make another right turn
- The campus will be on your left
Please plan to arrive early to allow time for parking and check-in.
Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Notebooks must be submitted by 1/30/2026 on robotevents.com.
