Welcome to the 2026 Sharp Creek VEX IQ Robotics Competition : Mix & Match School Based Tournament!

We are thrilled to host your teams at Sharp Creek Elementary School in Wabash for an exciting day of robotics competition! Our goal is to provide a fun, fair, and memorable experience for all participants, and we can’t wait to see your students showcase their skills.

Event Highlights

  • Competitions Offered: Teamwork Challenge & Robot Skills

  • State Qualifying Event: Yes – this event awards state-qualifying spots!

  • Team Pits: Located in the cafeteria

  • Competition Fields: Located in the Main Gym

  • Concessions: Available all day in the gym

Important Information & Expectations

  • Payments: All teams must be fully paid no later than four weeks before the event. Unpaid teams will be moved to the waitlist.

  • Refunds: Not guaranteed. Refunds may be issued only at the discretion of the event organizers (please review refund policy for details).

  • Participant Release Forms: All students and coaches must have the required online Participant Release Form submitted. The REC requires Event Partners to verify this before participation.

  • Accommodations: If your team requires special accommodations, please contact Amber Bretzman in advance so we can plan to meet your needs.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather or other cancellations, please visit robotevents.com for updates. You may also call Amber Bretzman or Kevin Bretzman (check contact information page for details) the day of the event with any questions. We will attempt to hold our event if at all possible and will contact teams if weather is looking like it won't cooperate. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event and you are unable to attend make- up date: Refunds will be issued in the case of an event cancellation (less a $5 processing fee).
 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Then a refund can be issued if event partner is informed in writing that they would like to withdraw prior to 3 weeks before the competition. No refunds will be issued after we have passed the 3 week prior to competition mark. (less a $5 processing fee)

 

Please only register robot teams that intend to attend. Due to the limited space for events, we will not issue a refund for any other reason.


Payment Deadline is January 3rd--  Not paying by this date may mean that your team may be placed on the waitlist to make room for another team.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to be submitted to the judges no digital notebooks will be accepted.
