General Info

This event is hosted by Livingston Robotics Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. This event will be a ES and MS VEX IQ Competition Event, which will include individual robot skills challenges as well as a 2 on 2 tournament according to VEX IQ rules. In general teams will have skills runs and we are targeting minimum of 7 cooperative matches each and finals rounds.

  • FOOD & SNACKS
    • This event will NOT have a food concession stand. Teams will need to provide their own snacks, drinks, and lunches.
    • Local breakfast and lunch options are available about 1mi away at Northfield Center
    • Standard chain restaurant food options are available about 5-10 minutes away in East Hanover on the Rt.10 (Mc Donalds, Chipotle, Panera, etc).

SKILLS
10:00 am - 11:30am SKILLS on 4 fields
11:30 am - 1:30pm SKILLS on 1 field

PRACTICE / SKILLS FIELD
At roughly 1:30pm 3rd field converted to dual function practice / skills field. Teams wishing to run skills have 1st in line priorty over teams wishing to practice. Practice sessions are limited to 3 minutes if 1 practice field, or 5 minutes if we have 2 practice fields. 

QUALIFICATION & FINALS MATCHES
11:30 am - 3:30pm Qualification matches on 3 fields. Start time for this may move earlier if there is no demand for skills fields.
3:30 pm - 345pm Finals matches

AWARDS
3:45 pm - 4:00pm

LUNCH - We do not have any assigned time for lunch. Between matches, teams will have an average of 36 minutes between matches (minimum ~20 minutres, maximum ~60 minutes), so there should be enough time for teams to each lunch between matches. Although there are vending machines on-site, There is no on-premise food vendor for lunch. Teams should plan to bring in lunch for their teams from nearby restaurants.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Full refunds will be provided if the event is canceled due to NJ State of Emergency declarations.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

A refund will be provided.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will be provided if a replacement team is able to attend.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews:

Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Deadline to submit digital engineering notebooks is at 11:59pm on February 3, 2026
