Welcome!

Welcome to Calvary Chapel Christian Academy's Winter Mix & Match Bowl! This event is open to elementary and middle school VIQRC teams. We are looking forward to an exciting day of competition. Magnus Robotics is the Event Partner for this event; teams from both Magnus Robotics and Calvary Chapel Christian Academy will also be competing in this tournament.

Robot Skills and judging will be available at this event. Teams should plan to submit their team’s engineering notebook at the check-in table. Teams with a digital engineering notebook must provide a printed hardcopy.
Concessions will be sold throughout the event. Teams will be able to pre-order lunch for their teams and spectators.

Volunteer

We welcome volunteers to help in these roles: Judges, Score Keepers, Field Reset Crew, Set-Up/ Tear Down Crew. Some training is required for some roles ahead of the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

A weather-related event cancelation will be made at the discretion of the Calvary Chapel Christian Academy leadership team and will be posted as early as possible on this event page. Team mentors will also receive an email informing them of the cancelation. Unfortunately, there is no make-up date for this event.

 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 
If the event is canceled, the registration fee will be returned (minus $5.00 RECF processing fee). 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
For a refund, the Event Coordinator must be notified at least 7 days prior to the event so that teams may be moved from the wait list and other teams invited to attend. The refunded amount will be equal to the registration fee paid minus the $5.00 RECF processing fee. 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
