General Info
Spectators will be allowed at this tournament and there is no entrance fee.
The format of this tournament will be run as a traditional tournament. The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges. Please send payment by Feb. 26 or your team(s) will be moved to the waitlist.
Competition Preparation:
This event is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting event. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared...
1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments.
2. Check the official VEX forums for rule updates and changes.
3. Pack for the event the day before the day of departure. Remember: Goggles/Safety glasses, spare parts and tools, batteries and chargers, programming cable, power strip, laptop computer, engineering notebook.
4. Safety comes first. Please see the Health and Safety Tab. Tools brought with you should not pose a safety risk with sparks, etc.
5. Understand how the game will be played—know the game manual!
6. Participation and consent form - a completed form for all participants must be posted online. PLEASE turn this in electronically thru the REC website.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of weather or other emergency, if we are not able to postpone the event to the next weekend; the event will be cancelled. Teams will be notified as soon as possible.
Refund and Payment Policies
Teams that need to withdraw from the event before the event deadline and produce an invoice showing payment will be refunded, minus a $5 processing fee, in full at our earliest convenience. Teams that withdraw between the event deadline and the day of the event will receive NO refund, unless as determined by the Event Partner that there are extenuating circumstances (these will be rare).
In the event of a weather postponement, the event deadline will be shifted to 3 days after teams are initially informed of the postponement.
If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be given within one month of the cancelled event.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refund will be given within 72 hours of the competition.
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. If teams use a digital notebook, please bring a printed copy for the judges the day of the event. Please organize the pages in the correct order and if possible, put in a binder or report cover.
