General Info
Congratulations on qualifying for the South Florida Middle Schoool Event Region Championship!
We are so proud of all of the hard work from all of our teams. We have an exciting day planned that is sure to be fun for families during the event. We really hope you enjoy your day at Miami Springs Senior High School.
Don't forget to read through all of the event pages for important information, especially about judging!
Matches will be running fast and it is your teams responsibility to be at the fields on time. We will be running two fieldsets for this event so be sure to review your schedule carefully
If no member of a Team is present in the Driver Station at the start of a Match, that Team is considered a “no-show” and will receive zero (0) points. The other Team in the Alliance will still play and receive points for the Match.
Robots on the field must be ready to play. If a Team brings its Robot to the Field, it must be prepared to play (i.e., batteries charged, sized within the starting size constraint, etc.)
Robots must be placed on the field promptly. Repeated failure to do so could result in a violation of the game manual.
We will be running matches on or ahead of schedule, so please have students pay attention to which match is running and be at the queuing tables 5 matches ahead of their match. Do not look at the time of the match, but the match number. This is a championship event, so please ensure that all team members understand that matches will be run on time.
Download VEX via from Google Play or the App Store.
Pit Areas
The team Pit Area will only be accessible for the teammembers and a coach. Visitors can view fields and matches from the stands. Practice fields will only be allowed in the pit area and it is the understanding of teams that they will have to share these fields between all the teams. If needed, use of practice fields will be timed, and regulated. Please come to the tournament ready to run your autonomous and driver skills.
Skills
Skills will be running all day and it is your team's responsibility to find the time to run skills. Get your skills in early so that you don't miss out. Plan to do skills during longer breaks in your match schedule.
Judging
This event will be remotely judging engineering notebooks and conducting in person interviews. Please submit a digital copy of your engineering notebook by11:59 PM on February 26, 2026, regardless of whether it was natively created as a digital or paper notebook. Notebooks are submitted through the team's RobotEvents.com logins by one of the team's registered contacts, and may be to either a native digital format or a scanned PDF copy of a paper notebook.
To upload team notebooks for judging please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Go to RobotEvents.com, Login, and click on “My Account” in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Immediately on your dashboard, you will see all of the teams registered to your RobotEvents account this season, and on the right-hand side is a link to a Digital Engineering Notebook.
Step 3: Once you have selected a team, enter the full URL to the team’s engineering notebook. Ensure sharing settings do not require login credentials to view.
If you enter a link that requires login credentials to view, you will get an error message that reads "Notebook is unreachable with provided url. Pleaseensure the url is accessible and doesnot require lognin credentials to view". You must modify the sharing settings of your link to correct the error message.
Step 4: If the link goes through, you will see a message that reads "updated: time stamp" with a Disable link and Delete link button next to the message . This means your notebook link is in the system, and you should be done!
Options to disable or delete the link appear after the link has been posted. A team may wish to disable the link after the season is over.
Step 5: Indicate your Engineering Notebook’s language:
