Magikid Robotics Lab Headquarters is thrilled to present the 2025-2026 Magikid Robot Rookie Mix & Match @ UCI [Feb] our signature robotics challenge designed to inspire creativity, teamwork, and innovation!
This year, we’re taking things to the next level with an exciting new venue at the University of California, Irvine (UCI)!
Our goal remains the same: to provide every participant with an enjoyable and memorable experience, fostering a lifelong love for robotics in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.

PARKING INFORMATION
To park in the adjacent Lot 17A, you must purchase a $16 parking pass for the day.
Although the parking spaces in Lot 17A are labeled “AR” (Reserved), these restrictions do not apply on weekends. However, a General parking pass is still required.
You can buy a pass at the nearest kiosk located near 1C parking lot or the Anteater Parking Structure (APS).
Please note that Lot 17A does not support ParkbyPlate payments.
Required Parent Waiver (UCI Policy)
UCI now requires a signed parent/guardian waiver for every participating student.
All families must complete the waiver before arriving at check-in.

The waiver is available 24/7 and will remain open until the event concludes on the evening of Saturday, February 7, 2026:
Important Requirements

A parent/guardian must sign the waiver even if they are attending with their child.

Any email address may be used (personal or work).

Waivers must be completed in advance by 4:00 PM on Friday, February 6.

A separate waiver is required for each child.
Day-of Event Reminder
Parents who have not completed the waiver before arrival will be required to sign it on-site before check-in (via QR code).
Completing waivers ahead of time will help ensure a smooth and fast registration process.

Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: Yes.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refunds after the registration deadline January 31, 2026.
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
