General Info
Thank you for registering for the Atlantic Canada VIQRC Qualifying Tournament, hosted at FCA Gym, Fredericton. This event will bring together teams from across Atlantic Canada to compete for qualification to the Atlantic Regional Championship, providing an elevated and engaging competition experience.
We look forward to seeing your team and ensuring a safe, respectful, and competitive environment. All participants—students, coaches, mentors, and parents—are required to follow the facility rules (adapted from FCA Gym Centre guidelines):
Facility Rules
- Indoor shoes only are permitted in the main gym, including competition fields and pit areas (bleachers are exempt).
- Water only is allowed in the main gym. No food or other beverages are permitted.
- All dollies / carts entering the gym must have clean wheels.
- No robot building or repairs may take place on the gym floor, and no tools may be left on the gym floor at any time.
Competition Preparation Checklist
To ensure a smooth and successful competition day, please make sure your team completes the following:
- Review the game rules, code of conduct, and the inspection checklist.
- Check the VEX Forum and Official Q&A for any updates or recent rule clarifications.
- Carefully review all information included in this event posting.
- Review the award descriptions and judging criteria.
- Prepare for team interviews with the judges. Confirm which awards will be presented at this event.
- Ensure all robots and controllers have the latest firmware installed.
This tournament promises to be a fast-paced and exciting event, and we encourage teams to come well-prepared and ready to learn, compete, and collaborate.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If inclement weather poses challenges, our aim is to proceed with the tournament as scheduled. Timely updates will be distributed to all participating teams through email.

Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
A full refund will be provided.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Full refunds minus 5% administration fee will be given to teams if they cancel by Noon on January 1, 2026. After that, no refund will be given.
Payment Information
As Robot Events does not accept payment for events outside of the US, and not calculating the tax properly. Please pay through the e-transfer, [email protected]
Judging Format
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
