General Info
The Falkon VEX IQ Robotics Tournament is an event for the current VEX IQ season.
This event is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting tournament. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared:
1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments.
2. Check the official VEX IQ forums for rule updates and changes.
3. Carefully read all of the information contained in the tournament posting on RobotEvents.com
4. Pack for the event the day before the day of departure. Here are a few items that you don't want to forget:
Spare parts & tools
Batteries and chargers
Programming cable
Power strip
Laptop computer
Engineering notebooks
Banners and other decorations for your team pit
5. Prep for possible team interviews with the judges.
6. Remember that safety and good sportsmanship comes first. We expect students to be doing the work at these VEX IQ events, and expect all adult volunteers and coaches to cooperate with these efforts.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If you cannot attend the event due to bad weather, please email [email protected] ASAP. If there is an issue related to weather or other emergencies you will be notified by the Event Partner. Please make sure your team's contact information is updated and accurate in Robotevents.com
Refund and Payment Policies
We will be providing a partial refund of $75, if you cancel before the week of the tournament. If you cancel during the week of the tournament, no refund will be given.

Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Teams should submit online copy of the engineering notebook before the event.
Teams wishing to be considered for the Innovate Award MUST include the new Innovate Award Submission Information Form with their notebook. More information about this new form may be found in RECF's Guide to Judging.
