Volunteer

Volunteers are what make VEX events happen. Our biggest need for each event are judges and student volunteers for field and queuing support - no experience is needed!! Volunteers will be provided with beverages and light snacks throughout the day.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

All cancellations will be communicated through email. Please check your email the day before and the morning of the tournament (before leaving). If necessary, we will make every effort to reschedule the event.

Judging Format

• All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

Get ready to ride! We want to make sure no one is left with a rumbling tummy out on the range, so here is the trail guide for "grub" at the event.

The Ground Rules: Please be advised that no free meals or concessions will be provided at this event. This applies to everyone, including our hardworking Trail Crew (our amazing volunteers!). While we will have some light snacks to keep the Trail Crew moving, everyone should be prepared to provide their own full lunch.

How to fill your belly:

• The Food Truck Corral: Three food trucks and one dessert wagon will be hitched up and ready for purchases from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.

  • Foreign Policy Food Truck

  • Mingo's Latin Kitchen

    • Description: A gourmet Latin-inspired food truck and restaurant known for their signature "Mingo's Fries" and artisan empanadas.

  • Beverly Ann's Cookies

    • Description: A mobile bakery specializing in warm, scratch-made cookies and "Ann-wiches" (customizable cookie ice cream sandwiches).

• Pack Your Saddlebags: You are more than welcome to bring your own lunch and snacks from home.

• Call the Stagecoach: If you want to order a personal delivery (like pizza) to the site, that works too!
