General Info

This Tournament is a blended tournament for middle school and elementary school.

International Academy of Cincinnati is excited to host the FIRST VEX IQ tournament in the Cincinnati area.

 Matches & Judging:

  • Please familiarize yourselves and your teams with the VIQRC Mix & Match Game Manual
  • In-Person Judging (see Judging Format page for more details)

Food:

  • Lunch will be provided to all participating teams.(chicken and fries OR vegetarian pizza, cookies and water)
  • Concessions and international food will be available.
  • Advisors and Volunteers will have access to a hospitality suite.

Miscellaneous Information:

  • All pit tables will have access to power.  Please bring a surge protector/power strip to make sure you have enough outlets for your team
  • We have a dedicated Wi-Fi network available for teams to access during this event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, we will make every attempt to contact all coaches by email, phone or text of any changes of the event or the event schedule. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

A refund for registration fees paid minus the $5 REC processing fee will be issued to each team. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Registration fees will not be refunded. 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
