General Info
Welcome to the Hopkinton Middle School Robotics Tournament on January 17, 2026 at Hopkinton Middle School.
This event is open to all Middle School (MS) and Elementary (ELM) teams.
Pizza will be available for pre-order, and a concession stand will be open throughout the day with snacks and drinks.
Please ensure all students have completed the required Participant Release Forms and that they are submitted online prior to the event.
We are currently seeking additional competition fields to support this event.
If your team is able to bring a regulation field or has access to one, please contact [email protected].
Event updates, including any weather-related information, will be communicated in advance.

9:45 am - 10:00am Event Meeting
10:00am - 1:15pm Skills Challenge Fields Open
Note: Skills Challenge lines will close at 1:15pm. Any teams in line at that time will have an opportunity to complete their Skills matches. We want each team to run 3 Driver Skills Challenges and 3 Programming Challenges. Try to keep them on top of their schedule so they use their breaks to run skills.
10:15am - 12:00pm: Qualification Rounds
12:00–12:45 pm: Break for Lunch— We will be sending out a pizza order form. We will have a concession stand.
12:45 pm - 1:30 pm: Qualification Rounds
2:00pm-3:00pm: Teamwork Challenge Finals and Awards

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
We will contact coaches in the event of inclement weather.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: We will refund your registration fee
If a coach/mentor completes registration for the event, then chooses to withdraw or not attend: We will not refund the fee unless we can fill your spot.
Please note: all refunds will be minus the $5 administrative fee retained by RECF.

Our pit area is located in the cafiteria, right inside the door off the parking lot; we will have signs.

Judging Format
- Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The deadline for submission is 11:59 PM January 10, 2026

This event will include the Innovate Award.
Teams wishing to be considered for the Innovate Award must include an Innovate Award submission on the first page of their Engineering Notebook. Only teams with a completed Innovate Award submission will be eligible for this award.
All other judging will follow standard VEX IQ judging guidelines
