General Info

We are thrilled to officially welcome you to the 4th Annual Macau Mecha Monster Mash VEX IQ Robotics Competition™! We are gearing up for our biggest year yet, with 100 teams expected to join us for this international showdown.

While the competition will be fierce, we haven't forgotten that our students are spending their Halloween weekend with us. To keep the spirits high, we strongly encourage everyone to wear a costume! Let’s make this a festive, high-energy environment for the kids who are trading their trick-or-treating for gear-turning. Who knows what prizes we might have in store. We will be looking for the best costume overall and best team costume.

 

Event Schedule & Locations

Please take note of the staggered schedule to ensure your team arrives at the correct venue:

  • VRC (V5): Running Friday and Saturday in the MUST Grand Auditorium.

  • VIQRC (IQ): Running Saturday only in the School Gym.

Competition Details

This event is more than just a friendly scrimmage; it is a high-stakes Qualifier for Macau Championships. To ensure a comprehensive competitive experience, we will be offering:

  • Skills Challenges (Driver and Autonomous)

  • Judging Sessions

Volunteer

We are looking for field resetters, judges, and referees. if you are interested in becoming a competition volunteer, please contact us. 
Willing to offer skills fast passes or reduced fees. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau issues a red or black rainstorm warning signal and a tropical cyclone warning signal No. 8 or above, the competition will be canceled or postponed. Please pay attention to the latest information from the organizer

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: will refund the registration fee.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: will not refund the registration fee.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
