VEX IQ Level Up™ Tournament
General Information
Thank you for participating in the VEX IQ Level Up™ Tournament. We are excited to welcome teams from elementary and middle schools for a day of learning, teamwork, and competition.
This tournament is open to:
- Elementary School VEX IQ teams
- Middle School VEX IQ team
What to Bring
Each team should bring:
- Competition robot(s)
- Robot batteries and chargers
- Controller(s)
- parts
Inspection
All robots must pass inspection before participating in qualification matches. Teams are encouraged to arrive early to allow sufficient time for inspection.
Judging
Judging sessions may be conducted throughout the day. Teams participating in judged awards should be prepared to discuss their design process, teamwork, programming, and engineering decisions.

Team Expectations
We ask all participants to:
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship
- Respect volunteers, judges
- Follow venue rules and event staff instructions
- Keep pit areas clean and organized
Food and Refreshments
Teams are encouraged to bring water and snacks. Additional food options may be available on-site to purchase.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions, the tournament may be postponed, rescheduled, or canceled to ensure the safety of all participants, volunteers, and staff.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Fully Refund.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Teams that request a cancellation on or before November 14 are eligible for a full refund.
Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for cancellation requests received after November 14

Judging Format
- Remote Initial Team Interviews Initial Team Interviews will be before the event in November.
- Digital Engineering Notebook Submission. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. Teams will submit their Engineering Notebooks digitally ahead of the event for evaluation.
