General Info

This is an Elementary VEX IQ Robotics Competition™ Level Up™ event.  It will be held at Winchester Village Elementary in Perry Township.

Additional awards will be the Innovate Award and the Judge's Award. Sportsmanship, Design Award, and Skills Champion.

Any team not paid by January 4th will be transferred to the waitlist.

Concessions will be available all day for snacks.  Concessions are cash or card. 

Teams will be provided choices for lunch as the event grows nearer.

All participants and coaches must fill out the online consent form.

Teams must upload their engineering notebook in VEX Events by February 13th to be eligible for any judge's awards. (Excellence award, Design award, or Judge's award)

7:45 a.m. Volunteer Arrival, Breakfast & Training

8:00 - 8:45 a.m. Team check-in & Inspection

9:00 - 9:15 a.m. Driver and Coaches Meeting, National Anthem

9:30 - 12:00 p.m. Qualification Matches and Skills, Teams visit judges for interviews

12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Lunch (If needed, skills fields and judging interview tables will open at 12:30)

1:00 - 2:45 p.m. Qualification Matches and Skills (2nd round judge interviews)

3:00 - 3:30 p.m. Final Matches & Awards Ceremony

(2:30 - 3:30 Volunteers begin to clean up and tear down as areas are no longer needed)

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event that this tournament cannot take place due to unsafe conditions, we will attempt to reschedule the event. 

If a team is not able to attend the newly scheduled event, we will provide a refund minus the processing fees.

Refund and Payment Policies

​All teams need to be present and checked in before the start of the competition. Refunds will not be issued to teams that arrive after competition rounds have begun. 

If this tournament cannot take place due to inclement weather, we will reschedule the event.  If a team is not able to attend the newly scheduled event, we will provide a refund.

If your team decides to withdraw, you must submit the request to withdraw by January 1st.  We will refund the registration cost.

Refunds can take 2 to 3 months to process.

The payment deadline is January 4th. Teams not paid by January 4th will be placed on the waitlist.

 

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. Digital notebooks should be submitted by January 15th.  No paper engineering notebooks can be accepted the day of the event.  


Notebook Submission Format

The choice of judging format for the event rests with the Event Partner. Detailed information about judging should be included on the event page on events.vex.com. All teams at the event must submit their notebooks in the same format, regardless of their notebook’s native format. A team with a physical engineering notebook may need to upload a link to a digital copy via events.vex.com, or a team with a digital engineering notebook may be asked to print it out prior to the event.
