General Info

Thank you for registering for the VEX IQ Robotics Competition™ Gold Coast Elementary League at Pine Crest School Boca Raton Campus. We are happy to have your team compete with and learn along with us! Here are a few important things to know about our League.

  1. We will meet 4 times on the dates listed below, and each competition will run from 8:30 AM - 11:15 AM on the Pine Crest School Boca Raton Campus. Our League dates are:

    • October 24, 2026
    • December 5, 2026
    • January 23, 2027
    • February 20, 2027
  2. During each of our four League Events, teams will have the opportunity to participate in 3 driver control and 3 autonomous runs, as well as 2-3 teamwork challenge matches.
  3. Notebooks will be due digitally by midnight on 2/12/27. Notebooks must be submitted following the instructions on events.vex.com.
  4. Live team interviews will take place the during the third League Event on 2/20/2027.
  5. Teamwork finals and awards will take place during the last event. It will likely run a bit long and we will give you a heads-up about a change in pick-up times.
  6. Expect an email the week before each event with updates and reminders for you and your team.
  7. This league is for team members and coaches only. Our space is limited and doesn’t accommodate audience members. Parents can drop off students at 8:30 AM and pick them up at 11:15 AM.
  8. We have water fountians and bottle refill stations in the Pit area, but no concessions. Feel free to bring snacks.

Volunteer

We need volunteers to serve as scorekeepers and queue managers as well as 18+ volunteers to help with judging at the end of the League. We are asking each school / organization to commit at least one adult volunteer to help with judging notebooks and conducting team interviews. Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If bad weather is predicted before the event, coaches will be contacted and the event will be rescheduled.

If bad weather occurs during the event, we will follow Pine Crest School's Security Guidelines to seek shelter, depending on the weather event.

 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event a full refund will be repaid.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend a refund will be sent if the team withdraws 4 weeks or more from the first competition date.

If a team does not pay by the set deadline (10/14/26) they will be moved to the waitlist to give another team a chance to participate.

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply.

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
