General Info
Portland West Middle School is proud to welcome team to the Mechanoid Clash Competition.
Mechanoid Clash is a great event for starter teams. With in person judging, teams can receive recognition beyond the Teamwork reward, bringing the value of engieering and innovation to light.
Event partners and judges are working hard to bring a low stress, well organized event to help teams experience a fun, rewarding experience with the opening event of the season.
Teams will experience the judges interview process, learn basic competition etiquette/schedules/procedures, and put their new bots to work in both teamwork and skills challenges.
Additional information regarding directions, campus maps, times, and concessions information will be emailed to registered teams and posted on events.vex.com by 10/1/2026. If you have questions, please email the event partner at [email protected].
Participants are required to submit the Vex liability release through events.vex.com

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of incliment weather, all event updates will be communicated through email with registered teams.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refund will be provided
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refund will be provided
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
