Welcome to the Bay Area Youth Robotics VEX IQ Tournament #1, hosted by the Bay Area Youth Robotics Foundation (BAYR)! We are excited to bring VEX IQ teams from across the Bay Area together for a full day of robotics competition, teamwork, problem-solving, and learning.
Before the Event
Please make sure your team:

Is familiar with the current VEX IQ Robotics Competition Game Manual and rules

Has a competition-ready robot that meets all VEX IQ inspection requirements

Brings all necessary equipment, including the robot, controller, batteries, chargers, spare parts, and team materials

Completes all required participant consent forms

Arrives on time for team check-in and robot inspection

Please plan to arrive early enough to complete check-in and robot inspection. Teams arriving after the check-in deadline may not be included in the official match schedule.

Important: All teams must complete check-in and robot inspection before participating. Teams that arrive after the check-in deadline may not be included in the official match schedule.

Volunteer
Bay Area Youth Robotics Foundation is looking for volunteers for upcoming VEX IQ Robotics Competition in the Bay Area! Volunteers can help with check-in, field setup, team support, judging support, and general event operations.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In case of Bad Weather or other Emergency situation that we need to cancel this event, we will contact you to reschdule, or fully refund.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
You will get a refund.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
You won't get a refund.
Judging Format
Onsite interview; You will be able to choose interview slots two weeks before the competition
Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. Notebook submission deadline: 10/20/2026.
