Newton County is excited to host this VEX IQ tournament. Students and attendees are sure to have a fun-filled day of robotics competition and we look forward to seeing all of the teams shine!

7:30am - 8:30am - Check-In/Registration/Inspection
NOTE: All teams must be through inspection by 8:30am.
7:30am - Fields Open for Skills Challenges
NOTE: Each team will be able to run a maximum of 3 robot (driver) skills challenges and 3 programming challenges. 3 fields will be available for Skills Challenge attempts from 7:30am - 8:30am, but only 1 field will be open for skills challenges during qualification matches (9:00am - 11:45am) . Teams should attempt to finish as many skills challenges before 8:30am to reduce the amount of runs needed between qualification matches. The Skills Field will close at the end of qualification matches (approximately 11:45am).
8:35am - 8:55am - Drivers Meeting & Welcome
9:00am - 11:45am - Skills Field Open

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Teams will be notified as early as possible if it is determined that bad weather will cause a change in event-day plans. In the event of a cancellation, every effort will be made to reschedule for a later date. If teams are not able to attend the rescheduled date, entry fee refunds will be issued.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: An attempt will be made to reschedule for an alternate date. If teams are unable to attend the new (rescheduled date), refunds will be issued.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Refunds will not be issued.
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
