What is a league?
A League is essentially a full-season competition stretched across multiple dates instead of a single high-stakes Saturday event. Teams get to play, improve, and code iteratively over time, making it ideal for regular season progress.

There will be 3 Regular Ranking Sessions plus a League Finals Session.

Yes, teams can qualify for the State Championship through the League!

Teams will play at least 2 Teamwork Matches at every single session.

Teams get up to 3 Skills Driving and 3 Skills Autonomous attempts at every single session.
Eligibility:
This event is open to registered VEX IQ middle school teams.
Teamwork / Qualification Matches:

For ranking purposes, Qualification Matches are cumulative and follow your team from session to session.

Each session is guaranteed to have at least two Qualification Matches.

If you cannot attend every session date, no worries. However, note that teams which play in 60% or more of the total available league matches are ranked above teams who participate in less than 60%.

For every four Qualification Matches that are played during the League, teams will have one drop from their cumulative Teamwork average.
Robot Skills:
Teams will have 3 Skills Driving and 3 Skills Autonomous attempts at every single session. However, for the purpose of Skills Rankings, a team's combined Robot Skills score is calculated from their best Autonomous Coding score and best Driving score within the exact same session. Scores cannot be mixed and matched across different session dates.

In the example above, you cannot combine the 45 (Session 2) and the 30 (Session 1) for a score of 75. The team’s top league skill score remains 72.
Judging
Teams will not complete an interview or turn in their Engineering Notebook until after the last regular League session. All judging will happen during the League Finals. Click here to read more about judging.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
The venue is a certified tornado shelter. In the event of a weather scenario, you're at the safest spot in town!
If there is inclinent weather that causes us to cancel a league session coaches will be notified. Every effort will be made to re-schedule any cancelled days.

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
