General Info

Welcome to the HNAC Invitational League!

We’re excited to welcome teams for a season of teamwork, learning, and friendly competition! Each session will feature two teamwork fields and two skills fields.

Eligible Teams & Registration

This invitational league is open to teams from schools in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference (HNAC): Argos, Caston, Culver, Pioneer, North Judson, North Miami, Oregon-Davis, Triton, and Winamac. Private teams associated with these school districts will also be considered.

Eligible teams should join the waitlist to be added to the event’s team list.

League Dates & Locations

This year’s sessions will be shared between Caston and North Judson.

Please note the time zones: Caston sessions use Eastern Time, and North Judson sessions use Central Time.

Caston’s December session will take place in the cafeteria, with team pits, teamwork matches, and skills fields in the same space. Chairs will be available for spectators; there are no bleachers in the cafeteria.

The Finals at Caston will take place in the high school gymnasium, with team pits also located in the gym.

Room assignments and pit locations for the North Judson sessions will be shared with coaches before those dates.

Awards

The league will recognize Teamwork Champions and a Robot Skills Champion.

Concessions & Arrival Information

Concessions will be available at all league sessions.

Coaches will receive additional information by email before each session, including arrival times, entry doors, parking, and pit locations.

Payment & Required Forms

All registration fees are due by December 4, 2026.

Teams with unpaid registration fees after this deadline will be moved to the waitlist. If your team needs additional time or is experiencing financial difficulties, please contact us before the deadline to discuss arrangements.

Please ensure that all required Participation and Consent Forms are submitted before your team attends.

5:00–7:00 p.m.: Teamwork matches and skills challenges on separate fields

Sessions 2 & 3 — January 29 and February 26, 2027

Location: North Judson | All times Central

3:45–4:00 p.m.: Team arrival, check-in, and robot inspections
4:00–6:00 p.m.: Teamwork matches and skills challenges on separate fields

Session 4 — Finals — March 12, 2027

Location: Caston | All times Eastern

5:30–6:00 p.m.: Team arrival, check-in, and robot inspections
6:00–7:30 p.m.: Teamwork matches and skills challenges on separate fields

A more detailed schedule will be emailed to coaches before the first session. Later sessions may be adjusted based on the first session’s timing and team participation.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Indiana weather doesn’t always follow the league calendar! We’ll make every effort to hold each HNAC league session as scheduled. If weather or another emergency makes it unsafe to travel or host a session, we’ll reschedule it for the next available date.

We’ll email coaches as soon as we know a session needs to be postponed and share the new date once it’s confirmed. If the weather looks questionable, please check your email before your team leaves for Caston or North Judson.

Refund and Payment Policies

Registration fees are due Friday, December 4, 2026. Teams with unpaid fees after the deadline will be moved to the waitlist, and their spots will be offered to waitlisted teams. If your team needs more time to pay, please contact Jamie Taylor at [email protected] before the deadline to make arrangements.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

If weather or another emergency prevents a league session from taking place as scheduled, we’ll reschedule that session for the next available date and notify coaches by email. If the entire HNAC Invitational League is canceled, teams will receive a refund of their registration fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

On or before Saturday, November 21, 2026: Teams that notify us of their withdrawal by this date will receive a refund of their registration fee, minus a $5 fee.
Beginning Sunday, November 22, 2026: No refunds will be issued for withdrawals or no-shows.

Teams must check in before matches begin at each session. Refunds will not be issued for late arrivals once matches are underway. Please follow the check-in schedule for the host school: Eastern Time at Caston and Central Time at North Judson.
