General Info
Welcome to The Spartan Showdown! for the 2026-2027 Season!
What To Expect:
Teams will participate in a full day of VEX IQ competition, including teamwork matches, driving skills, and autonomous skills challenges. Students will have opportunities to collaborate with other teams, demonstrate their engineering skills, and learn from each match. Please expect a busy, exciting day filled with problem-solving, teamwork, and friendly competition.
How To Prepare:
Teams should arrive on time with a fully charged robot, batteries, controllers, tools, spare parts, and their engineering notebook. Students should review the game rules, practice driving and programming skills, and be prepared to explain their design and engineering process to judges. Team members should also get a good night’s rest and bring any needed food, water, and personal items.
Food & Refreshments:
We will have a concessions table available with snacks and drinks. Costco pizza orders will be taken upon check in for all teams.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of an emergency or bad weather, this event will be cancelled and you will receive notification via email.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
All payments will be refunded.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
No Refunds will be offered.
Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
