General Info

Whitman-Hanson Regional High School is pleased to welcome teams for this VEX V5 High Stakes qualifying tournament. This tournament will qualify teams to the Massachusetts Event Region Championships. This event will be held at:

The event is on: December 14th, 2024 

Our event will be held in the gym, with team pit areas down the hall in our cafeteria. Spectators are welcome to join us in the gym to watch tournament matches and skills challenge runs. Please enter the building through the gym entrance (see documents tab for a map).

Concessions will be available for spectators. A pizza lunch will be provided to teams and their coach.

Our school has plenty of parking. The primary lot is located directly in front of the gym entrance. Overflow parking is available in the lower lot on the other side of our bus loop.

Our facility is fully ADA compliant. Direct access to the gym and pit areas from your vehicle is available if needed. If you have specific questions about accessibility, please contact the event organizer.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If venue is closed due to bad weather or any situation outside our immediate control and the event can not be rescheduled, refunds, minus event costs, will be issued in a timely manner.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: If venue is closed due to bad weather or any situation outside our immediate control and the event can not be rescheduled, refunds, minus event costs (e.g. RECF fees), will be issued within two months of event date.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refunds will be made after Registration closes, if team withdraws from event prior to registration closing, full refund will be issued within two months of event date.

Teams with unpaid balances on RobotEvents.com: will be placed on the waitlist the week prior to event, unless they have made payment arrangements with the Event Partner.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.

Digital Engineering Notebook submissions must be posted on RobotEvents.com by November 29, 2024 to be considered for Judged Awards that require a Engineering Notebook.  Physical notebooks brought to event may not be considered in the Judging process.
