Welcome to VEX V5 Robotics Competition Uganda 2024-25, 

Organised by the African School of Innovations Science and Technology in partnership with VEX Robotics.

This exciting program is open to all middle school (ages 12-15) and High school (ages 15-18) students across Uganda.

This is a free event that will take place on 18th January 2025 at Teddy Bears Kindergarten Ntinda, near Capital Shoppers, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Competition Day:

  • 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM: Registration & Team Check-In
  • 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Robot Inspection
  • 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Practice Rounds (Middle School/High School)
  • 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM: Break
  • 10:40 PM - 12:00 PM: VEX V5 Robotics Competition Matches: Skills and Teamwork Challenge (Middle School/High School)
  • 12:10 - 1:00 PM: Final Matches
  • 1:00 - 2:00 PM: Closing and departure.

Notes:

  • The schedule may be subject to change based on the number of participating teams during check-in.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Should contact the event organiser as soon as possible.

 

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges
