General Info

Welcome to the Kern Robotics Late Season Skills Only Competition held in the North High School Gym. This event is designed for teams to have an opportunity to increase their season's high skills score, especially those not yet qualified for the Regional Championships.

We will have Skills ONLY with 3 competition fields and 2 practice fields.

Once teams have been inspected they can begin skllls runs once our officials are ready. Once teams have run their 6 skills attempts (3 driver, 3 autonomous), they are free to pack up and head out.

Teams should come to the event having practiced driving and done their programming. We understand tha teams may need to adjust their skills programs, but the event will be closed if teams do not complete their runs in a timely fashion (for example, no teams run skills for 15 minutes and there are only teams at the practice field, not in line to complete their attempts).

Additional instructions

During the lunch hour (depending on timeframe and number of teams that are participating) we will have one or more skills fields closed so that the volunteers can get lunch and have a break.

Team Payment

Teams must be paid prior to the deadline listed. Teams not paid at this time may be moved to the waitlist at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the wait list.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If weather causes travel delays or prevents teams from competing, a partial/full refund may be available (once any fixed costs are recouped). Contact the Event Partners before the beginning of the event if this is the case.

The event partner will contact teams if the event must be postponed. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

The payment deadline (as stated on the robotevents website) is Monday February 2nd at 5pm PST. If there is an issue processing your payment, please contact the event partners at the earliest possible date to keep your spot in the event. There will be many teams on the waitlist, so please remove your teams ASAP if you do not plan to attend.

There will be no refunds available for teams that choose to cancel due to fixed costs for the event partner.
