Welcome to NEW YEAR's MAYHEM: PUSH BACK, Vietnam's V5RC first Signature Event.
Let welcome and celebrate the lunar new year with inovative robots, rivalry, dynamic energy and sportmanship at New Year's Mayhem. Held in Saigon South International School of the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh, New Year's Mayhem invites 70 HS teams from across Asia and beyond to compete in a thrilling three-day tournament as well as participate in skill challenge filled with excitement and energy.
This event is open to high school teams and will provide a skills challenge. . The main event will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday with qualifications and skills, followed by alliance selection and elimination matches on Sunday.
The New Year Mayhem Signature Event will offer three spots to the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championships* :

Registration: Early Bird Registration start from 18-Oct-2025, 12:00 AM (GMT :+7) to 01-Nov-2025, 12:00 AM (GMT :+7). Normal registration starts immediately after early bird period end and ends at 02-Jan-2026, 12:00 AM (GMT :+7).

Exchange rate: Please apply a fixed VND–USD exchange rate of 26,000 VND = 1 USD for all conversions.
Late Arrivals: Teams must be checked in 60 minutes prior to the start of the practice matches so that the match schedule may be printed.
Food: Team are free to order outside for your favorite food, and the school cafe would also provide drinks and snacks for sale.

*World Spot Eligibility:
Signature Events will be awarded World Championship qualification spots if they meet all established criteria set forth by the REC Foundation. Failure to fully comply with these criteria may result in the event being ineligible to receive World spots, regardless of prior expectations or historical precedent

This event is a non-refundable event.
For local teams in Vietnam, our school is not able to issue a red invoice for registration fee, we can only issue receipt , the estimated time is 14 working days.

Travel Info
TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION
Please send us information of your team (coaches and students name, team number and team name) to [email protected] & [email protected] for entrance registration.
Teams are required to make their own arrangements for travel to and from Vietnam, as well as for accommodation during the event.
Judging Format
- Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
- Deadline for digital notebook submission is 2026 January 15th 12:00PM (GMT :+7), no physical note book would be reviewed to make sure every teams have the same evaluation process.
Signature Event Early Bird Policy

All Signature Events will have a specific Early Bird Registration that is independent of all local/regional Early Bird systems.

Each team starts the season with three (3) opportunities to register during the Signature Event Early-Bird period.

A Signature Event Early-Bird opportunity is not taken away if a team registers for a tournament hosted by their school or organization (where the team’s coach is the Event Partner).

If a team registers during the Standard Registration period, a token is not taken away.
