General Info
Thank you for registering for the Clash at the Bluff VEX V5RC early sesaon tournament. We are excited to have you participate. The event is intended for teams to arrive with their early season basic robot designs in order to learn how their robot will perform in the game enviroment early in season. We understand older students with prior experience may have more advanced robots than newer teams competing. The tournament is not intended for teams that have already competed prior to this event. The idea for this event is to allow teams to learn how the Push Back games is played, asess their intial design ideas, and develop new game play strategies as well as determine how they may need to modify their design for later events.
Last year we had a large number of teams that registered for events during early-bird that held their spots without payment, registred for events and were no shows and NEVER paid their registration fees, or dropped out at the last minute without paying registration fees leaving spots open without time to fill prior to the event date. For this reason we have implemented a strict payment policy as listed in payment policy section.
Thank you for registering! See you soon!

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Sullivan County Department of Education will require the event to be canceled due to inclement weather. Please watch for an update from the event partner if the event must be rescheduled or canceled due to weather.
Covid -19 creates many questions for coaches and event partners. Please know we want students to be safe and healthy. If the event must be canceled due to the number of Covid-19 cases for the area, we will work to reschedule the event as soon as possible.
Your understanding during these difficult times is greatly appreciated.
Refund and Payment Policies
Refunds:
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Refunds will be issued if event is cancelled by EP. Refunds will NOT include the $5 processing fee collected by Robot Events.
If you request to wait list your team/teams:
Teams will only be moved to the waitlist within 2 weeks of their registration closing date. NO TEAMS WILL BE MOVED TO THE WAITLIST ONCE THE EVENT CLOSES TO REGISTRATION ON ROBOTEVENTS.
If a Team completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
As a general rule, refunds will NOT be issued. However, we understand that unforseen circumstances come up. Please contact us as partial refund may be possible if your spot can be filled by another team.
Payment Policy:
Due to the number of teams that register last season and either held their spots without payment or dropped out last minute allowing little to no time for those spots to be filled, we are enforing a new payment policy for all teams that register. This policy will be strictly enforced.
Early-bird Registration:
Teams that register during the early-bird registration period will be required to have a PO on file prior to standard registration opening. Teams that have not updated their account to "PO processing" the the standard registration opening date will be moved to the waiting list. Order must be marked as paid on robotevents within 2 weeks of the registration date. Teams that do not have their payment posted within the 2 week allotted window will be moved to the waiting list (Note: Purchase order on file does not count as a paid in full status). Reach out to the event adminstrators if you have any questions.
Standard Registration:
All registrations must have a PO on file within 2 weeks of registering for the event. Additionally, registration must be paid in full 2 weeks after the team is registered or immediately if after September 5, 2025, unless other arrangements have been made with EP. Unpaid teams will be moved to the Waitlist 2 weeks after registration and may be added back in IF there is room on the roster. If your registration payment process takes longer than two week, clear communication will keep teams from being moved to the Waitlist.

No judged awards will be offered at this event.
