General Info
Granada Hills Charter is delighted to host Rumble in the Jungle 2025, a VEX V5 Robotics Competition Push Back Tournament. The event will be open to 36 teams from both Middle and High schools. Winning specific awards at this event will qualify teams to attend a California Region 4 State Championship.
There will be two competition fields, a Skills Challenge field, and full practice field at the event. Both Driving and Programming Skills Challenges are open to all registered teams.
This event will be limited to four teams per school/organization. Once the event is full, a waiting list will be created for teams who were unable to register. This waiting list will also be available for you to sign up a fifth team, but precedence will be given to schools/organizations who are not yet registered. If you have any questions, please feel free to email the Event Partner, Niko Gevorgian, at [email protected] and CC our team through [email protected].
On-site parking is free, and there are numerous dining options in the area for lunch and snacks. However, teams should be aware that lunch is only 45 minutes long, which leaves limited time to explore these dining options once the first half of the matches have concluded. We will be selling cash-only concessions all day at the event, however we will be having a food vendor on campus for lunch time (~11:00 until 2:00) who will accept card.
We are unable to provide free lunch for competition participants.
Please be advised there is no eating or drinking allowed in our competition venue (the GHC Large and Small Gyms), but teams are allowed to eat on the tables and benches outside of the gym.
Registration:
Registration will begin at 7:30 am, sharp.
Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.
Team Payment:
Teams must be paid two weeks prior to the event (November 5, 2025). Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the waitlist.

Please fill out the volunteer form attached below and if you have any further questions feel free to contact the Event Partner, Niko Gevorgian, at [email protected] and CC [email protected]. For any questions or further information.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
The event is held indoors, and should not be affected by inclement weather.
In the event of snowfall or other "non-native Southern California" weather events, teams will be contacted. Teams should make sure their contact information in their RobotEvents.com account is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.
Refund and Payment Policies
Due to the financial commitment on the part of the event venue, no refunds will be possible. Thank you for your understanding. It is essential that all teams check-in before the posted time of registration close (8:15AM).
Health and Safety Policies
Safety is a top priority at Granada Hills Charter, and at the REC Foundation. All competitors, attendees, and volunteers are expected to adhere to basic safety rules.
- Safety glasses on at all times near a robot.
- Respect the stanchions, don't cross under or over the boundaries set.
- No running inside the gym.
- No standing in a walkway.
- No eating/drinking inside the gym; spills create a slip hazard.
