Get ready for a frightfully fun showdown at the Singapore Spooky Robo Rumble—our Halloween Spooktacular Tournament hosted by Singapore American School! This isn’t your average robotics competition—teams from near and far are invited to bring not only their technical skills but also their Halloween spirit to the arena. Come decked out in your most creative costumes, decorate your team pits with eerie flair, and prepare your bots for a battle full of tricks, treats, and high-tech thrills. Whether you're aiming for the top of the leaderboard or the best-dressed title, this is one tournament where fun and fright go hand in claw!

Volunteering Opportunities*:

Scorekeeper Referee:  Record scores using the TM Mobile app or paper score sheets. Verify recorded scores with other Scorekeeping Referees and/or the Head Referee as needed, and with the student drivers after each match. Discuss possible rule violations with the Head Referee after the match. Ensure the field is reset and robots are ready for the next match.

  • Experienced volunteers are preferred; however, Scorekeeper Referees can be new volunteers and can be trained quickly. Must be at least 15 years old for all events.

Queuing Coordinator:  Assist with staging teams for upcoming matches.

Practice Field Official:  Oversee practice fields and ensure that all teams have access to practice time and proceed in an orderly fashion.

*Volunteers must come dressed up in a Halloween costume

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event is held indoors in our gyms, if the lightning alarm lights are on we request all participants to not go outside until the storm passes.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

  • 100% Refunds will be made out to teams if event is cancelled.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that prevent teams from participating. To maintain fairness and account for administrative and logistical preparations, the following refund policy will be applied:

  • Full Refund: If a team withdraws 14 or more days before the tournament start date, they are eligible for a 100% refund of the registration fee.

  • Partial Refund: If a team withdraws 7–13 days before the tournament start date, they will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee.

  • No Refund: If a team withdraws less than 7 days before the tournament start date, no refund will be issued due to finalized arrangements.

Health and Safety Policies

To come on campus, students, parents, and coaches will need an access badge which will be given out upon registration for the event.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.

Digital Notebooks need to be submitted by Friday, October 24, 2025 10PM to give judges enough time to score them.
