General Info

Team tECH is proud to host this years VRC Push Back.  This competition is open to all registered VRC teams. The competition will be held January 17, 2026 at East Central High School Cafeteria.

Your payments must be shown in the system as paid by January 10, 2026 in order to participate in the competition.  Please get on the waiting list if the competition has filled, or you have more than 3 teams and if any spots become available I will contact you.

Concession stand will be available. More specifics will be available closer to the event.

Please complete all team member release forms at REC Foundation as soon as possible. Once completed, you are good for the rest of the year. Information on Participant Release form and link -- https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/5ab2c50d92047/web/

JUDGING:  Notebooks must be submitted digitally by 3:00 pm on January 9th.  Interview will be conducted in person.  All teams will be interviewed.

Volunteer

We will gladly accept people to assist with our events.

We will need readers prior to event and interviewers on the day of the competiton.

Please consider taking the Head Referee and Judge Advisor courses for this seasons game.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

All teams will be contacted the day before the event if the event needs to be adjusted due to bad weather.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Registration fees will be reimbursed if the event is cancelled.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

No Refunds.

All teams must be paid by January 10, 2025.

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  • No Judging
  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
  •  All Remote Judging - The Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, and Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.  Initial Interviews and Notebook submission deadlines may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
  • Remote Initial Team Interviews / In-Person Engineering Notebooks: Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, possibly before the date of the event. Engineering Notebooks will still be submitted in person the day of the event to be evaluated by judges.
  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
