Illiana Christian High School's Robotics Team welcomes you to our inaugural tournament.
Arrival:
- Enter through North or South doors.
- Bus parking available in South lot and car parking available in both North and South lots.
- Student waivers must be completed online.
- Check in immediately upon entry.
- Engineer’s Notebooks submitted at Check-in.
- Indicate if your team wants an interview at Check-in.
- Competition Arenas located in the Commons (center of the school building).
- Team Pits located adjecent to the Commons.
- Full Concessions available with Breakfast, Lunch and snack items.
- Order forms for pizza delivery for lunch availble in pre-event email and at the Concessions until 9:30 AM.
- Facility is ADA accessible.
- Restrooms located across from Concessions.
This event is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting event. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.
This event has 4 State Qualification Spots: 1 = MS Excellence, 1 HS Excellence, 2 = Tournament Champions.
1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. Bring a completed inspection checklist with Coach's signature to the inspection table. The inspection checklist can be found here.
2. Check the official VEX forums for rule updates and changes.
3. Carefully read all of the information contained in the tournament posting on RobotEvents.com
4. Pack for the event the day before the day of departure. Here are a few items that you don't want to forget.
- Goggles/Safety Glasses
- Spare parts & tools
- Batteries and chargers
- Programming cable
- Power strip
- Laptop computer (WiFi connection will be provided)
- Engineering notebook
5. Review the descriptions and criteria for the awards that are being given during the tournament.
6. Prep for your interviews with the judges. Check the awards tab to see what awards will be given during the tournament.
7. Remember that safety comes first, please don't bring tools that pose a safety risk to your team, or others nearby. Also, remember no grinding or other actions that create sparks.
8. Understand how the game will be played. VEX participants are more than welcome to review the referee training before they attend a tournament.
9. Ensure that you have the latest version of firmware.
10. Since we are using Smart Field Control, ensure your team has coded their team number into the robot.

In case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations please visit the event on Robotevents.com where I will post updates about the event status as needed in the General Description. Please contact me at the cell phone number provided in your welcome email if you are going to be running late. Match list will be generated as scheduled and cannot be re-run.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Tournament cancellation by the Host will result in a refund, less the $5 RobotEvent fees.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
There will be no refunds for this event. We cannot offer a full refund due to the costs incurred in the setup of the event.
Please be sure you understand this policy before registering.
Payment Deadline is October 4th, 2025. Not paying by this date may mean that your team may be placed on the waitlist to make room for another team.

The school is located 2 miles West of the intersection of US 41 and US 231.
Both North and South entrances will be open.
All busses should use South parking lot accessible from Calumet Ave. The entrance is south of the intersection of 109th Ave and Calumet Ave.
Cars and trucks may use the South parking lot as well.
North parking lots accessible from 109th Ave are for cars and trucks only. The entrance is west of the intersection of 109th Ave and Calumet Ave.

Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
