This is a Qualification Event for the Vancouver Island Regional of British Columbia.

Preference for registration will be given to Vancouver Island teams. If you register as a non-Island team, you will be moved to the waitlist until event organizers can confirm that there is a spot for you.

8:00 to 9:30: Inspections (sign up for judging)

8:30 to 9:30: All fields open for skills

9:45 to 10:00: Opening Ceremonies

10:00 to 12:00: Qualification matches

12:00 to 1:30: Lunch, All fields open for skills

1:30 to 3:30: Qualification matches

3:30 to 4:00: Alliance selection (16 Alliances, 32 teams)

4:00 to 5:00: Playoffs

5:00: Awards ceremony

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of an incident or circumstance effecting this event, The event organizer will undertake these TWO notification strategies.

  1. An advisory describing the situation (e.g. inclement weather) and the action being taken (e.g. event cancellation) will be posted to this RobotEvents event listing under this tab.  
  2. The same information will also be e-mailed to all registered team coaches. Please make sure your contact information is correct.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Should the event be cancelled, registration fees will be refunded to all teams in full.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Registered teams needing to cancel will be eligible for a full refund if notification of cancellation is submitted prior to freezing (publication of) the qualification match schedule.  

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
