General Info

This event is a Middle School Only Tournament, complete with trophies from the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation. Spectators will be allowed at this tournament, there is no entrance fee however all spectators must check in at the school’s front office.

The format of this tournament will be run as a traditional tournament. If there are safety concerns due to COVID or weather related issues and the event is unable to proceed, the event will be rescheduled or cancelled.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, we will reschedule the event. If no reschedule date is available, refunds will be given.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

  • Refunds will not be issued unless the event is cancelled due to weather and cannot be rescheduled. 
  • If the event is cancelled, the $5.00 REC administration fee is non-refundable.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

  • No refund will be issued.
  • If the Coach/Mentor withdraws before the January 16th payment deadline then no payment will be required.
    • I ask that if you're going to withdrawl to do so with time for other teams to fill those spots
  • If you're team is on the waitlist and a spot opens up I will contact coaches in order by date waitlisted to fill open spots.

The payment deadline is Friday, January 16th.

  • Teams registering after this date must pay at the time of registration.
  • Any team who has not paid by this date may be moved to the waitlist and their spot given to another team.

The event will be held in the boys’ gym.  All spectators and visitors must check in to the main office and receive a visitor badge.  Coaches and participants do not need to check in and will receive an identification badge upon check in.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
