General Info

The larger ROBOTICON.net annual youth robotics showcase held in Tampa, FL each fall.  ROBOTICON - now in its 13th season! -  is a Manufacturing Month event.  Registered teams will receive updates leading up to the event day to help them have the most enjoyable opportunity possible, and the full event schedule will be listed on the ROBOTICON website.

Spectators are welcome and the event is free and open to the public.  Competitive youth robotics teams can register through October 13.

11:30 am to 12:30 pm – Qualification Matches

1:30 pm to 3:30 pm – Qualification Matches

3:30 pm – 3:45 pm Alliance Selection

3:45 pm  to 4:45 pm – Elimination Matches

4:45 pm Awards

The event wraps up by 5 pm.  

Volunteer

Sign up to Volunteer at the ROBOTICON Rumble VEX V5 Sign Up Genius page !  ROBOTICON is volunteer-powered, and we appreciate all the amazing time, expertise, kindness, and support all our volunteers bring to the event.  Volunteers receive a continental breakfast and/or lunch, depending on shifts worked, as well an event shirt and other perks. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event is held indoors and unless there's severe inclement weather - like a hurricane - will continue as planned.  In the event of a severe weather event, the tournament will be canceled and fees refunded.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be give except the $5.00 RECF fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Refunds will not be given.

If a team has not paid by the payment deadline on October 10: Team may be moved to the waitlist to make room for another team. 

 

Health and Safety Policies

COVID-19 remains with us and there are other respiratory illnesses like the flu and RSV for which to remain vigilant.  To that end, teams are asked to use basic good health and hygiene practices throughout ROBOTICON Rumble.   Anyone who is not feeling well is advised not to participate in the event.   

With regard to student safety, ROBOTICON Rumble 2025 is hosted at Brooks DeBaratolo Collegiate High School and all attendeees - teams, coaches, families, friends, and volunteers guests of the High School and expected to act as thoughtful and appreciative ones.  Coaches and mentors are advised to establish basic safety and conduct protocols with students and to remain vigilant throughout the tournament and not let students wander. Horseplay, roughhousing and rudeness will NOT be tolerated at any time during the tournament.  

We appreciate the support and cooperation of all teams in helping make ROBOTICON Rumble a fun, healthy and safe event for all!

Engineering notebooks must be submitted electronically for evaluation on Robotevents.com by 11:59 pm on October 10.

Team interviews will be conducted in person at the Event.
