General Info

ECTC proudly presents this year's PUSH BACK! VEX Robotics competition, CLASH OF THE ROBOTS! ECTC Robotics has a long history and tradition of hosting robotics events, and we are excited to invite you and your teams to this mid-season event!  

Thank you for signing up for our event. Please complete your payment before the event payment deadline, January 17th.  

 

Participant Release Form:

Participant Releases are Electronic and must be submitted by Jan 24th. The link is the Document Tab.

Notebooks:

If your team is submitting a notebook please have a digital version submitted on RobotEvents by Feb. 6th.

Inspections:

Coaches, Please help speed up our inspection time in the morning of by checking your students robots prior to the day of the event and have the team members update the Firmware to the brain. Also, make sure students robots will only have one visible color for the license plate showing at a time. Inspection must include poly sheet diagram for the inspectors to ensure within limits.  If anything is in question of legality, please be able to prove that it is.

Skills Field:

As soon as you have passed inspection, your team may enter the skills field line.  We will have the GPS CODE wrapped around the perimeter. Skills field will close promptly at the start of Elimination matches.  Those running skills will be brought over to the elimination matches to help referee.

  • There will be a hospitality room provided for advisors and volunteers.
  • Concessions will be available with drinks, snacks, and a selection of hot items.

Matches & Judging

  • Each team will have six qualifying matches. 

  • Please familiarize yourself and your teams with the Push Back official rules. The GAME MANUAL is a good place to start! 

Awards:

We will be awarding   4 Judged honors (Excellence, Design, Innovate, and Judges) along with Tournament Champions. If we have enough Middle school teams sign up we will do High School and Middle School Excellence Awards.

Misc. Info

  • All pit tables will have access to power. Please bring surge protectors/power strips to make sure you have enough outlets for your team.
  • We will have a dedicated WiFi network available for teams to access during this event. This was set up specifically for teams that will need access to online programming software during the event. Please make sure your school laptops are set up correctly in order for you to have access while you are away from your school building.
  • Are your teams ready? Be sure to check out the REC Library for VRC for a variety of helpful team information!

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, we will make every attempt to contact all coaches by email, phone or text, as well as make announcements through social media of any changes of the event or the event schedule. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If this event is canceled by the Event Partner, a refund for registration fees paid minus the $5 REC processing fee will be issued to each team. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend, registration fees will not be refunded

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.  The submission deadline Feb. 6th 2026.
