Hello!

RoboJackets is thrilled to invite your team to our first-ever VEX Robotics Competition, hosted at the Georgia Institute of Technology!

We are excited to welcome you to campus and provide your students with an opportunity not only to compete but also to experience Georgia Tech’s vibrant robotics and engineering community.The event will be held on Thursday, October 16th, 2025, in the Klaus Advanced Computing Building. Teams will have the chance to:

  • Compete in a full-day VEX Robotics Competition
  • Tour Georgia Tech’s campus
  • Interact with RoboJackets members—Georgia Tech students who are eager to share their passion for robotics and mentor future engineers

Additional details:

  • Location: Klaus Advanced Computing Building, 266 Ferst Drive NW, Atlanta, GA 30332.
  • Schedule: Check-in begins at 8:00 AM; the event will conclude by 5:00 PM.
  • Parking & Logistics: Information regarding parking, food options, and check-in instructions will be sent out closer to the event.

Volunteer

All of our personnel; Judges, Referees, Score Keepers, Field Set Team Members, Queuing Runners, Tournament Manager Operators, Food Service, Custodial Support, and others are volunteers.

Please treat them with kindness, respect, and gratitude for the donation of their personal time and energy. We could not host an event of this magnitude without their dedication and willingness to serve.

Thank you in advance for your part helping. Be sure to place all trash in the receptacles provided. Keep the bathrooms, hallways, & pits areas clean & neat. And, notify someone promptly if there is a spill or if you notice a problem.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, a decision will be made on how the competition will proceed and any changes will be communicated to teams via the main contact email address and/or via live announcment in the venue. This may include a delayed start or early end to matches on a competition day, extending or modifying hours on some days, or removal of matches from the competition schedule in order to complete the event. Every effort will be reasonably made to continue the event as planned.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Every attempt will be made to refund registration minus any administrative fees.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:  

Refund Policy:

·       Should a team need to withdraw from the tournament after registration and payment, they must notify management as soon as possible.

·       Notification at least three weeks prior to the event will receive a full refund less a $5.00 processing fee.

·       Notification of withdrawal at least two weeks prior to the event will receive a refund less a $30.00 cancellation fee.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event.
Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

All Volunteers and Chaperones are required to fill out this form and send it to [email protected].
Chaperones/ High Schools- Please include all counsellors for a team in one message with your team name.
