Valley School is hosting the Valley School Vex Robotics Showdown:  Middle School Only - Push Back Competition. This is a middle school only event on Saturday, February 7th 2025. 

This event is open to 28 middle schools. Winning specific awards at this tournament will qualify teams for the California State Championship.  This event is limited to 5 teams per organization. Once the event is full, a waiting list will be created for teams who were unable to register.

There will be 2 competition fields, 1 skills field and a practice field.

Judging will be in-person at the event. 

Notebooks will be judged remotely. Teams must submit their notebooks via robotevents.com by  Friday, January 23rd, 2026 at 5:00pm

Snacks / Concessions. We will have a snack bar for your convenience.

Lunch: There are abundant lunch options nearby. All of the usual fast food restaurants, plus top local favorites mentioned on Reddit or Yelp such as Tacos El Tijuanense, Angel’s Tijuana Tacos, Bill’s Burgers, 

DeFranko’s Deli, Barone’s Pizza, Beeps Fast Food, Kinnara Thai, Dek Sen Thai Street Food, Sam Woo BBQ , Hot Wok Cafe, Mr. Pickles Sandwiches. And yes, Starbucks. 

Parking - On site parking, street parking. 

Late Arrivals: Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the event so match schedules can be printed. Teams must contact the event director if they will be late, or they will be removed from the team list for the event.

Participation and Consent Form: A completed form for all participants must be uploaded on robotevents.com prior to check-in.

Lock your car. Hide your valuables or bring them inside the auditorium with you.
