General Info

Welcome to the 1st Annual JROTC Regional VEX Robotics Competition hosted at Thomas Edison CTE H.S. This is an JROTC VEX Team Only event. Regular V5 teams are not eligible to register for this competition. This is a regional qualier for JROTC VEX National Championship.

This year's game, VEX V5: Push Back Robotics Competition, will be played by JROTC high school teams of students as they design, build and program a robot to defeat each other.

Breakfast and Lunch are offered for purchase by the Thomas Edison JROTC Inventor's Battalion.

Volunteers are always welcome. We offer a complimentary breakfast, lunch, and a certificate of community service hours. Experts in engineering and robotics are always welcome, but anyone can help. We have roles for volunteers of all ability levels.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of severe inclement weather or other emergency, the event partner will coordinate with the school district and building administrators to decide as early as possible about any potential delay or cancellation of the event.

Any delay or cancellation will be posted on the RobotEvents.com website, and the event host will contact by text/email all attending teams as eary as possible.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

In the event of severe inclement weather or other emergency resulting in the cancellation of the event, the event partner will attempt to reschedule. If the new event date does not work for you, then a full refund of the portion of the registration fee received by the event partner will be issued via check.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refund requests for any reason other than event cancellation must be received by December 1, 2025, in writing or by email.

Requests received after December 1, 2025, will be contingent upon a new team replacing the withdrawn team. All refunds will be issued via check.
