General Info
Welcome everyone to the Waterloo Throwdown V5RC Qualifying Competition, presented by UWAT VEXU Competitive Robotics! We are excited to host over 45 teams from all around Ontario for the 2025-2026 Push Back competition season! This event is made possible by the generous support of the Waterloo Faculty of Engineering, the Waterloo Faculty of Mathematics, and team UWAT VEXU Competitive Robotics from the Sedra Student Design Centre. Learn about what Waterloo Engineering has to offer while competing against fellow teams. Please also review the following items before the competition date:

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, a notice will be posted on the event page to inform teams as soon as possible. Please ensure that your team contact information on Robot Events is up to date.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
A full refund will be provided
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Teams have 2 weeks after registration to pay the competition fee, after which unpaid teams will be moved onto the waitlist. No refunds will be given after Nov 11th 2025.

Judging Format
The judging format for the 2025 Waterloo Throwdown qualifier is: Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews.
Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Please submit all engineering notebooks by November 12th 11:59pm EST.
