Travel Info
Location info:
The competition will take place in the 2nd floor Ballroom of the Mountainlair Student Union. Elevators are available throughout the building.
Parking:
Free parking is available for our event in the Mountainlair Parking Garage.
Important Note: The garage has a maximum height of 6 feet, 8 inches. Taller vehicles will need to park in a short-term parking lot elsewhere on the WVU Downtown Campus. All WVU-owned short-term parking lots are free on Saturdays and Sundays. See here for WVU parking lot options: https://transportation.wvu.edu/parking/downtown-parking
Larger vehicles not parking in the garage can drop off teams on North High Street: https://maps.app.goo.gl/RZxtS1p9AgHeVamHA. From there, teams will walk across the Mountainlair Green and enter the Lair on the second floor, then look for the Ballroom.
Bus info:
Please let us know ASAP if your team plans to arrive via bus, by emailing [email protected]. Be aware that bus parking will be challenging for this event. If you must bring a bus, it will have to be parked some miles from the Mountainlair after dropping off students. Teams may want to consider arriving via smaller vehicles instead.
Buses can drop off teams on North High Street: https://maps.app.goo.gl/RZxtS1p9AgHeVamHA. From there, teams will walk across the Mountainlair Green and enter the Lair on the second floor, then look for the Ballroom.
Alternatively, buses may drop off at the front or in front of the Mountainlair by pulling into the bus pulloff. Teams will enter the building through the front door, go downstairs to the basement, and then take the elevator to the 2nd floor.
