General Info

Welcome to the KDS Robotics VEX Push Back League!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • We will be using Smart Field Control to connect to fields, please ensure your team has set up their robot to connect to the field following the instructions available here
  • The Judging Format will be All Remote Judging for this event. All engineering notebooks must be submitted digitally via RobotEvents by Friday, January 15th , at 11:59PM to be reviewed by judges. In order to facilitate judging, we plan on sending out schedules to allow teams to select an remote interview timeslot via Google Meet before the finals session (more details will be sent out to registered teams at a later date)

  • Wednesday 12/3/25 4:30pm-8pm [Ranking Session] (Inspections, Skills, Matches)
  • Wednesday 1/14/26 4:30pm-8pm [Ranking Session] (Inspections, Skills, Matches, and Alliance Selection)
  • Wednesday 1/28/26 4:30pm-8pm [Finals Session] (Inspections, Matches, and Awards)

Note: Teams are NOT required to attend all ranking sessions; however, rankings are influenced by the number attended by each team. For more information, please refer to the REC KB or email the EP for details. 

Location : Kent Denver School Robotics Lab in Building E (Upper School South) 
The league will be held in our science building, more information will be sent out with directions and other instructions. 

The pits will have charging tables for teams to utilize, however please make sure all electronics are charged before coming. Teams are welcome to bring snacks or food. 

An event venue map will be emailed out to all coaches/volunteers before the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of an emergency or bad weather, a cancellation email will be sent to the emails of those who registered (and to all volunteers) as soon as that decision is made [we aim to make any decisions by 10 am on the day of any session]. When possible, sessions will be rescheduled, and information will be emailed to teams. 

In the event that the league needs to be fully cancelled, full refunds (minus the $5 non-refundable REC fee) will be provided if we are unable to reschedule.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

In the case the full league is canceled, only $55 of the full event fee ($60) will be returned due to the non-refundable RECF fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will be provided up until three weeks before the first session of the league, if requested by a team. Any registration made within 3 weeks of the first session of the league is final and not eligible for a refund.

If a refund is issued for any reason, only $55 of the full event fee ($60) will be returned due to the non-refundable RECF fee.

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  •  All Remote Judging - The Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, and Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.  Initial Interviews and Notebook submission deadlines may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
