General Info

The 3rd Annual Mrs. Philosopher's Invitational (VEX V5 Robotics Competition). 

Place your teams on the waitlist and we will make invitations to the competition during the first week in December. 

This V5 Robotics Competition is an Invitational event, so priority will be given to teams that haven't participated in competitions this year.  

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form . (also available in Spanish)  Once per season covers all events.

Skills Challenge Offered for VURC/VAIRC teams: No

Agenda

8:00 Doors open,

8:15 Registration, and Inspection Open

9:00 Opening Remarks and Drivers Meeting - Robot skills will run until the qualification matches are over. Get your rounds in early! Even if you are in line, skills will end.

9:30 Qualification matches start. Skills fields open. 

12:00 - 1:00 Lunch 

1:00 - 2:30 Qualification Matches Skills fields re-open and will close at the end of the final qualification match.  Being in line doesn't count.

3:00 - 3:45  Alliance Selection

4:00   Finals Matches, immediately followed by awards*

(Award ceremony will start right after Judges turn in results)

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If necessary, a decision to postpone/cancel the event will be made the Tuesday before the event.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be offered minus the $5 administration fee that RobotEvents charges

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds will be given.

Payments are due Jan. 5th, 2026. 

Teams not paid at that point will be put back on the waitlist.

Judging Format

 Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews:

Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event.

Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.  Digital Notebooks will be due Jan. 5th, 2026 by 11:59pm.
