General Info
Compete and celebrate at our 2nd annual tournament! The Canisius High School Robotics Competition PUSH BACK, hosted by the Canisius Robotics club, has been a great event for both new and experienced teams. Last years tournament included all kinds of teams; from first timers and intermediate teams, to award winning, State Champions and World's qualifiers! We look forward to hosting schools from all over New York State, so register early because this event will fill up. Matches will be played in our auditorium, which features multiple projectors for rankings and the event. For more information, please contact Event Organizer Emily Friol at [email protected].

Fields: There will be 2 competition fields, 1 practice field, and 1 skills/practice field. This will allow ample space to practice and for skills runs.
Pits: Teams will have either a 6-8 foot table with at least 4 chairs, or a 6' round cafeteria table. All tables will have close access to a power strip.
Judging: Judging will be ongoing throughout the qualification round, and will occur in the pit area.

Experience level: No previous experience is needed for most volunteer positions, and you can even bring your kids for a family activity (for example, Field Resetter is an ideal position for young children). Referees and Judges do have age requirements, and are available in the Judge Guide and Referee Guide
Time Commitment: You can register for an entire day, or just a portion of the day as your schedule permits for most positions.
Meals: Lunch is included for volunteers that volunteer for at least 2 hours.
Volunteer Positions Needed:
- Judges (no previous experience required) *All day commitment
- Referee/Scorekeepers (previous experience preferred)
- Field Resetters (no previous experience required)

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the case of bad weather, coaches will be contacted by email or their provided cell phone number as soon as possible. If there is bad weather, the event will start at 9:30am and we will adjust the match schedule to end by 4:30pm. In the case of extreme weather, the event will be canceled and refunds will be issued. This cancellation is at the discretion of the Event Partner.

Judging Format
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
